Click start

Right click My Computer

Click properties

Click advanced

Click settings for performance

Click advanced

Click change for virtual memory

Put the dot in system managed

Click set

Click OK

Reboot

You will need a PC which can connect to the internet

Run all the programmes as advised then post a current Hijack This Log in a new topic in the Malware Forum

Here's how to check if your virtual memory (also known as swap file or paging file) is set to system managed:

Click on Start > Control Panel
Click on Performance and Maintenance and then on System
Click on the Advanced tab
Under Performance, click on the Settings button (there are three, it's the top one!)
Click on the Advanced tab (yes, this is another advanced tab)
Click on the button labeled Change
You'll now see three options:
- Custom size
- System managed size
- No paging file

You should see the System managed size option selected, if not, select it and click Set followed by OK. If you don't want to make a change, click Cancel
