Hello all! :whistling:

My computer have this weird problem.
Recently, it will reboot automatically and also once its shut down, i will have trouble turning it back on.
The monitor goes blank although the power lights on the CPU is on. Further, the monitor operating light is also on. Its just i cannot see the screen.

It says on the monitor VGA input: no signal.

At times it can be rebooted but hang on the process so i have to like restart up to average of 15 times to get it properly done.

Theres also the DrWatson Postmortem Debugger problem.
Plus I have a blu screen at times saying something bout a memory dump.
Odd, my file usage does not even reach 1/5 of the max i believe.

I have Symantec Norton antivirus which i receive as a compliment software to the computer. However so, it says my subscription has ended but i tried reinstalling it but failed and it says one item is affecting the comp. But that had been going on for months but after system scans no infection was found.

This is weird cause the computer's not even well of 10 months old.
And they said my virtual memory is low. Erks, how can that be i dont have much stuff here neways.

Hope you lovely peepos can enlighten me.

Welcome to Geeks to Go.

Check that your computer's power options are set properly. It sounds like the computer is going into sleep or hibernation mode. Click Start, Control Panel, Power Options, Power Schemes tab. I keep my desktop set to "Alway On", turn monitor off after 20 minutes, and never on the other three options.

Next, download and install one of these freeware antivirus programs:
Anti-Virus:
a-squared - http://www.emsisoft..../software/free/
AntiVir - http://www.free-av.com/
Avast - http://www.avast.com...ast_4_home.html
AVG - http://free.grisoft.com/
BitDefender - http://www.bitdefender.com
ClamWin - http://www.clamwin.com/

Anti Spyware:
Ad-aware - http://www.lavasoft....ftware/adaware/
Bazooka - http://www.kephyr.co...nner/index.html
Hijackthis - http://www.spywarein.../downloads.html
SpyBot Search & Destroy - http://spybot.safer-networking.de/
SpywareBlaster - http://www.javacools...areblaster.html
SpywareGuard - http://www.wildersse...ywareguard.html
WinPatrol - http://www.winpatrol.com/

Run a full scan. If there's a lot of stuff picked up, post to the Malware forum. Start here: http://www.geekstogo..._Log-t2852.html

Is your computed custom-built or branded? If branded, which? If you received any kind of diagnostic software with the computer, run full diagnostics.

Hope this helps get you started to resolving the issue.

i donot believe it is hibernation cause my settings are similar to yours.
however the "Hibernation Enabled' is checked.

I tried going into Safe Mode but it freezes there too.
Tried Ssytem Restore. I believe it did worked but it says incomplete.

So now its a game of luck and chance i guess.
It either hang up sooner or later.
