Ok here's what's up. I wanna buy a HD-upconverting DVD player which can play downloaded Xvid (AVI) files via CD. Now I've seen many Hd-DVD players w/ Divx but I don't know if they can play xVid and other AVI files. Do they?
And are there specific models good for my puspose?

Thanxx.

I think Divx and Xvid are the same thing. I have Xvid to veiw divx\xvid video files, as it's a free download from the Microsoft Windows Media Player Website. Divx, If I remember correctly is software you have to pay for.
