when i click on destop icon to any internet site, the page opens top to bottom of screen but only about 20% of the page width

If you place the cursor on the edge until it changes to a 2 way arrow, press and hold the left mouse button then drag to size, release the button, open another IE window, does it open full screen

If yes, close the original one, then the 2nd one, open IE to check the size
