I have a problem at work on the computers, i work for a company named PHG, and somehow (i am guessing BIOS??) the time has been edited from showing eg: 11:16 to f**kPHG11:16
This is a problem as profanities offend the people who work on this affected computer, and when certain software is loaded from CD which reads from windows the time format to display it in the appropriate format, even though its not the actual time, but the time a file was created it also displays in big black letters along with the time f**kPHG:09:55:45 (as in 9:55 and 45 seconds) so it seems an extra field has been added to the time. (the extra : i nfront of the 09 makes me think this...)
Another thing i noticed is that if you double click on the time in the system tray to open up date and time properties whereas on an unchanged system, the time is aligned to the left side of its edit box, wheras on the edited system it has been moved to the right as if something is infront of it.....

Any help on how this was done and how to rectify it ASAP would be much appreciated!!

Hi Scollzero...

This isn't malware, it's a prank... :whistling:

Click Start, then Run, type regedit and click "Ok".

In the left pane, expand (click +) HKEY_CURRENT_USER, then Control Panel, and click on International

In the right pane, locate the string sTimeFormat and double click on it. In the Value Data field, remove the text between the single quotes (' ')...including the quotes. In your case, you will remove 'f**kPHG'...then click "Ok".

Click Start and choose Log Off to log off Windows...then log back on. The offending text should be gone.
