I've just bought a new pc, 3.4ghz, msi, Pentium D, Geforce 7300 GT, 1gb ddr667, 160gb hitachi (i dont have the excect specifications since i lost the reciet :|).

While I'm using games for some reason my pc crashes or freezes for a sec and crashes. well, ive got latest dircetx, drivers (installed the graphic card driver from the cd) and i did to look for any viruses (using Mcafee virusscan 2k6).
I looked for a memory prob using mtinst but nothing was found. can anyone help me? is that a hardware or software prob?

plz help asap. cost me lotsa money :\

Have you made sure that your computer meets the minimal system requirements for the game?

-it looks like they are fine but it's just an idea-

nice system.

CPU Type DualCore Intel Pentium D 950 3400 MHz
1 GB DDR2-667 DDR2 SDRAM
NVIDIA GeForce 7300 GT
Hitachi 160gb 7200 RPM

i dont think that beyond good and evil and warcraft 3 should crash :whistling:

but seriuously, can anyone help or do i need to replace the hardware (and which parts? graph card? memory? motherboard?)

Do the games always crash after the same amount of time or does it just happen randomly?

Is your power supply powerful enough to power your machine to play games?

When your machine freezes and crashes, do you get any kind of error message telling you the cause or reason of shutdown?

How do you know the system is overheating - have you used something like SpeedFan or are you just taking a guess? Download a program, such as SpeedFan and check all your system temperatures and post them back here.
