my computer doesnt display 256 colour.it only displays 2 and 16 colours.i already tried reloading the driver for video card but doest work out.can someone help me.

We'll need some additional information to help resolve this problem.

Is your computer branded or custom? If branded, which?

What is the operating system? Is it up-to-date with patches?

Is your graphics card integrated or a card? What manufacturer?

What brand monitor do you have attached?

Do you have antivirus software installed? If so, are the definitions updated and have you run a full scan recently?

How long has the display been limited to 2/16 colors? Can you pinpoint anything (unusual or not) that might have happened just prior?
