Hi, Wanted to post a follow up since it might help someone else. As I stated in my original post - I did a system restore rolling back two months because of some trouble I was having with my email program. I began getting strange error messages the most critical being that I had seriously low free disc space available. I began clearing off uneeded files and gained 3 GB. I know this couldn't be right. Since system restore I also was getting an annoying error message regarding my Windows Defender which someone recommended uninstalling and reinstalling which I did. I called my computer store today and he told me to download two very good programs Spacemonger and C (standing for crap, his words not mine) Cleaner. He advised me to dump Windows Defender as he felt I really didn't need it. I got home and started with uninstalling Defender.... I rebooted..... just for fun I checked the properties of my C drive and couldn't BELIEVE my eyes -- it went back to saying that I had 30.4 GB of FREE disc space ( I have a 40 GB hardrive)!!!!!!!!!!! WHA??????? I called my "guru" and he said my computer was in good shape! THANK YOU all for helping. HTH someone else. Happy holidays, Jeannie M
