When using MS Word 2002 I needed to use help option, however on selecting "help" I get message as follows:"Error starting MS Help" preceded by a white cross on red background. I have tried "repair" uninstall/re_install. Any ideas or work arounds.

Hopefully this will work for you:

http://www.dougknox.com/

1. Click on "Win XP Fixes"

2. Click on "File Association Fixes"

3. Click on "CHM File Association Fix"

Further to this problem if I use the "office assistant" and ask a question it directs me to "Windows 32" .
