I am considering buying an LCD monitor for my wife for Christmas.

She has a video card with a DVI-I output. Will that work with a monitor that has a DVI-D input?

Thanks.

Well, from what I just read in the link, they are not compatible. Thanks for the feedbacks.

The practical answer is...kinda. If you let us know specifically which card and which monitor you're looking at, we can give a more effective answer.

Pretty much all video cards come with DVI-I, and all LCD monitors come with DVI-D, so they're pretty compatible, most of the time.
