We want to run the offline crash diagnostics to get a quick snapshot at what could possibly be the problem with you getting Blue screen error messages.

First we want to download the offline crash diagnostic. You can obtain that here
Now we want to Run the Offline Crash Diagnostic tool
After you save the WindowsXP-KB923800-ENU.exe file, follow these steps:

1. Double-click the WindowsXP-KB923800-ENU.exe file to install the Offline Crash Diagnostic tool.
The installer adds the Offline Crash Diagnostic tool files to the %Windir%\Pchealth\Helpctr\Binaries folder.
2. Click Start, click Run, type ocadiagnostic.exe ,and then click OK to run the Offline Crash Diagnostic tool.
3. Agree to let the tool send information to Microsoft. Then, click Next.
The tool performs the following tasks:

• The tool determines the number of dump files on the computer.
• The tool finds any dump files that are located in the %Windir%\Minidump folder. You can choose to send all the dump files, or you can choose to send individual dump files.
Note The last 10 dump files to be created are collected. Dump files are not collected if they are more than one year old.
• The tool automatically sends the dump files to the Office Crash Diagnostic Microsoft database Web site for analysis.
• The tool downloads the response URLs.
• The tool displays the response IDs. The tool also provides hyperlinks to the Office Crash Diagnostic Web site.

Go ahead and report back the Responce IDS with your next post.

All web response IDs are #10 except for 7 and 9 which are #134.
The complete results file is attached to this post.
Attached File  result.xml.htm   9.63KB   62 downloads

Also I had another blue screen last night that happened whilst shutting down. This one was different though because it counted down and then restarted the computer. I was unable to get a snapshot of it because the camera was not handy.

How many of the memory sticks have we replaced?

Well, I've only had 2 sets of memory in this computer.
The first one was a 2gb set of Corsair ram (2x1gb), which were replaced when they went faulty.
The second and current ram is a 1gb set of Geil ram (2x512mb).

I hope this answered your question though.

And we have replaced your mainboard, your processer, your video card, and a new hard drive is that correct.

-The mainboard was sent back for a duplicate, so its the same model.
-The processor has been upgraded.
-The video card has been replaced twice actually, and I have two of my current video card; swapping them doesn't make a diiferece though. Although, I have never used both of them at the same time (one for each screen).
-I have gotten a new hard drive (80gb Western Digital), but I'm not using it as the system drive right now. One of you guys advised me to use one of my 320gb drives as the system drive for my current XP installation (but I'm not using the IDE one).

System froze when playing CSS.

I'm considering emptying out my 80gb drive and trying a fresh install. Who knows maybe having a faulty CPU during the installation process mucked things up.

Another crash during CSS, blue screen blaming nv_disp.dll or somthing. It was of the variety that counts down while dumping memory to the hard disc or somthing like that.
Lately this is the second time I've seen a counting down blue screen, in fact it was the last one.
Is there a difference between those blue screens and the regular ones that don't do anything except remind you how much you fail?

Just had a revelation, I'm actually surprised I hadn't thought of this already. Is it possible that my problem could be linked to using a dual monitor setup?

I'm not having this problem anymore. I think what happened was when I was messing around with the video drivers I used driver cleaner. In driver cleaner there is a tool called "cab cleaner" they reccomend using that to so I did (both driver.cab and SP2.cab). Maybe thats what made it work again?

Well, I finally got around to reformatting and installing Windows XP Pro freshly on my 80 gig drive. So now I have a dual boot configuration. All I've done so far is install drivers, update windows all the way and install avast anti-virus. Then I ran prime95 (in place large FFTs) and froze within a minute and a half. Is there anything else I can do?

Okay so that apparently didn't work. I ran prime95 and one of the worker threads stopped itself claiming a hardware error within a few minutes.
