i recently had Call Of Duty and COD2 installed in my new inspiron e1405 laptop now i know COD 2 was incomptible but i think i may have installed directX too many is there any way to tell which DirectX folder came from the game files and which should stay with the computer

Hey,

It doesn't matter when the game installs DirectX is automatically overwrites and updates your DirectX files.

If you have two Direct folders uninstall one because your system will still run off the other folder.
