As for blocking sites, if you go into the Hosts file, you can add sites there...you will see the syntax for adding them when you are in it.

For the address bar, just open any folder, go to View > Toolbars > Address bar.

As for the mouse, sorry, but I know next to nothing about hardware. You might want to post in either the hardware forum or the windows XP forum for that.

Thank you for your help with the malware and other problems.

I have removed those items from start up, it has improved quite noticeably.

I have Mozilla Firefox installed on the computer.

Will see how the computer goes.

Looks like it is back to normal.
