Hope Someone can help me, I recently got my pc back from repair. The guy who fixed it had re-installed windows xp for me and installed F- Secure anti virus. All was working well but for some reason I decided to install AVG anti virus as well. When I switched on computer last night It wouldn't boot. I went into safe mode but all this gives me is a blank grey screen. Do I need to go into BIOS? Re-install Window xp?

Any help is much appreciated!!

1. Can you access safe mode with admin priviledges? and delete the last install. F-Secure and AVG may not be compatible, as two progs of like kind often scramble each other up, while fighting to do their thing...

2. Download Windows Setup File prog for XP and run it out of the a:\ you will need 6 floppies...worth a try and nothing to lose... AVG has a similar set of setup disks...but it appears that you need the main program to prepare the disks...can you access it from another computer...since you have AVG installed, try getting those files and see if they work...
