My internet has turned and gone strange for some reason. These are the problems I have faced for the past few months...

- Firefox and IE dont play sound

- Firefox and EI are both much slower than ussual

- Torrents on BitTorrent are very slow and sometimes stop for days

- Connection to MSN Messenger randomly cuts out and signs me off, usually when I make convosation with somone

- LimeWire's connection is always extremely low and never 'Turbo Charged' meaning I cant DL

I have a feeling this may have something to do with my proxy, but I do not know much about proxys and servers ect.

Please help, this problem is so annoying!!!

Thanks for all your help in advance...

hi, welcome back to geeks, this is malware thing I believe but they won't help you while you're using limewire(partly because it will just reinfect you again) so repost in the malware section, follow the steps mentioned and if those steps don't solve the problem follow the thing through to posting a hjt log

In the meantime...as all of these progs can be reinstalled...delete all references to them, especially in the registry...then reinstall...see if that cleans out the bugs.
