I recently installed TweakIU. My OS is XP. I wish to delete it, but cannot through Add or Remove, and cannot locate its Uninstall folder in System32, which is where its target is supposed to be. Any thoughts?

It is listed in Add or Remove. I just found out that Windows cannot locate the program, even though it is in Programs and it remains in Add or Remove. So it must have deleted the content but not the folder in either Add or Remove or Programs.

Linda,

One more thing. At the same time I installed Tweak, A program called Windows Movie Maker seemed to have appeared in my start menu. it's properties says it is in Programs, but I cannot locate it. The program runs fine. It is NOT in Add/Remove.

** Alwasy use the registry editor carefully. Backup the registry or create a restore point before making any changes.

Sorry - I replied too quickly.

Movie Maker is part of Windows XP. I don't know of a way to remove it - I don't see it listed in Add/Remove Windows Components.

Maybe someone else viewing this post does???

You're right about movie maker. Somehow a shortcut was placed in the start menu. It is not in the Registry and No need to delete. You gave me the guts to in the registry and remove TweakIU. It worked. You're awesome. This whole site is awesome. Do you accept contributions. It's Christmas time.
