After you folks resolved all my problems lately ( around 2 months ) ive been enjoying my computer at everymoment , even tought thoses moments were not longer than 1:30 hours, since everytime I play CERTAIN games ( CS:S doesnt do that for example ) well i crash and there is some blue screen
( saying SOME , since its not the classical one , its more console like ) and states something about cmuda.sys ( wich is related to sound )

and <<not less not equal>> with lots of numbers and to finalise the ultimate crash combo ,
auto reboot ( even if i desactivated the autoreboot function )

so, i ask for your help once again , may your expertise save my computer !

Thanks in advance , Max

I would try reinstalling the sound drivers. It sounds like you either have on-board Cmedia sound or a Cobra sound card. You might try drivers from here.

http://www.cmedia.com.tw/?q=en/driver

or from the Aopen files.

you could download everest and see if that will tell you Otherwise you will need to check the manufacturer's websit to see if they identify or have the correct drivers for your computer.

*Bump for help , this thing is killing me , ive checked on several other forums concerning my 6600 GT and they almost all state the infinite loop error occuring with 6XXX Ge Force cards .. Problem cant seem to be solved with any patch ( even the one supposed to ) will this make me in need of changing my graph card againand my soundcard ??

**Check the line 23 of my DXDIAG , "display tab 23" states the famous nv4_display , one of the things that makes me crash.

Common sense would make me think to looking for updated drivers for the Nvidia card. I do wonder how this problem has morphed into a completely different error from the sound problem. At the mention of solving earlier problems it might be that fixing some errors only mask the real problems. I would tend to think about a complete fresh install of windows. Running games on todays computers can be real interesting because many games can cause graphcs problems. No mention of the system setup has been made. There could be underlying problems with low power, or overclocking, that do not help the situation.

You might look at this thread.

It could also be as simple as this. Your Nv4_disp.dll file has been corrupted by installing a newer or older update without properly unistalling all or your old drivers. It is very simple to fix this issue. But first you will need to download a program called "DRIVER CLEANER PRO". Once you download this program it will include very detailed instructions on how to remove all the corrupted NV4 files.

Perhaps your problem lies here.

Your board has built in audio and video connections. I suggest that you take out the audio and video add-on cards and run the system for a while on the onboard connections. I strongly recommend that you use your original drivers disk to reinstall all motherboard drivers.
