1. When I start IE, it goes to http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx. The screen is blue. No text, no graphics, no links. I cannot customize anything because there is nothing to click on the page. It is simply a blank, blue page.
2. I can open open other web pages. However, not all text appears on the screen. In Yahoo Mail for example, my e-mail will open. But, the text portion of every message is blank. I have confirmed that all of the messages should have text.
3. Many links on web pages are non-responsive when I click on them. This includes the Panda Software download link(s). I can get to the web page. But, none of the download links work. I click and nothing happens. Which is made even stranger by the fact that other links on that and other sites do work.
4. Windows Search function opens to a blank box. I cannot run a search.
5. Windows System Restore won't open in Normal Mode. It will open in Safe Mode. But, opens only to a blank box.
6. I cannot highlight and print text directly from web pages. I can only highlight, copy, paste to a Word document and print.
7. When I type in an address from the http://runonce.msn.com/runonce2.aspx blue screen, I get a very quick message at the top of the screen which I believe says that my settings are not allowing me to go directly the site and I'm being redirected. Then, the site whose address I've typed in opens. I can only see the message for a fraction of a second. But, I'm pretty sure that's what it says.
I've done all of the pre-steps you've listed on your site (except System Restore and Panda because they won't work as described above). Below is my HijackThis log. Please help.
