At the moment, xbox 360 is the ruler because of the vast amount of games that are available not to mention the amount of consoles available. Have yet to play the PS3, but from what i have seen the xbox 360 and PS3 are more or less the same system from a gaming standpoint and not hardware. But we will see what the future has to bring. As for the wii, the graphics are pitiful and i have doubt it'll be able to do much past cartoons figures well. Its only seeing point is its price and its revolutionary remotes, not enough to see me buy one of them.
For now its the xbox 360 but within 6-12 months i think we will begin to see the PS3 exceed the xbox 360 due to its hardware, however i have heard that the xbox 360 has a better GPU then the PS3. Is this true? The wii is to low end for me and probably most gamers out there looking for the best graphics, [bleep] it can only brocast a 480p signal. Thats so 6 years ago :whistling:

I've played all three and personally you can't really tell the difference between the 360's gfx and the PS3's gfx. PS3 has a better GPU, but its not a very big difference. The wii has the best gameplay, and to James, you get past the crappy graphics after you've played for about 10 minutes. It's really fun and the only cartoon game is really Wii Sports. Just my 2 cents.

Yah i have only played wii sports so far, but i have troubles seeing any none cartoon games looking all that great.
Note to anyone playing the wii, keep a safe distance from your friends, because the violent battles on the TV might turn violent in your home after you hit a friend with the remote by accident. :whistling:

All I can find regarding a Wii recall is specifically for the wrist-straps. See this link: http://www.nintendo....trapreplace.jsp

I'll be turning in a claim :whistling:

In terms of hardware capabilities the PS3 is way beyond the 360 the CPU alone is revolutionary and is the first of its generation the cell cpus are going to be used in everything from washing machines to flat panel televisions PS3 is the first in what will be a long line of cell appliances. Its GPU is newer and full dx10 they had to sacrifice that in the 360 to get it out it used what essentially was the prototype dx10 chip at the time it was the best available and its the little brother to the R600s that will be out soon, its power PC chips arent new definitely powerful but old school kinda thing they used to put in the macs before the intel switch.

The main problem with the playstation is its really out a little too early its software needs more tweaking and developers haven't had enough hands on time with the hardware it was the same with every other PS the coders had no clue how to make the most of the hardware allot of games look the same at the moment because they are either PC or 360 ports and they aren't utilising the hardware efficiently.

Personally i wouldn't buy a 360 or a PS3 now ild get a wii Nintendo's have never been powerful that's not what they are selling they go on there games and fun factor as well as affordable prices, its the Nintendo angle and its a good one you don't need top notch hardware to make top notch fun games and as with PS3 and 360 the hardware can get in the way of the games. Cheap, Easy to produce, Fun smart plan even if they only sell well this year thats more than Sony and MS have made because they operated at a profit right off the bat both 360 and PS3 were losing and are losing money in the first half year of launch, and its allot of money they will need to sell allot of consoles and a huge amount of games to make that money back.

The PS3 i think will probably start to come out on top(discounting the wii its not really in competition due to its pricing and sales pitch) its got much more capability and the software should get better rapidly its also more easily customisable which helps get a great community behind it, its linux OS makes it modifiable easily to enhance features without breaking the law to get it to play cracked games, you can use it as a normal PC if you really wanted. Games should start to get better 360 is at its limit the ps3 should start coming into its own just as the PS2 did 6months to a year after launch when the hardware is better understood. And it has the blu ray drive already which is a plus because we are soon going to see the return of games coming on multiple disks for the 360 as the games are getting huge when that becomes common we will probably see a 360Mk.2 with the HD-DVD built into the machine rather than the add on.

They are both good but neither even close to good enough to convince me consoles are the future of gaming. True gaming for me at least for the foreseeable future will be for the PC, better, cheaper games will let the PC be the master for a long time yet.

PS yeah the recall is on the wrist straps nothing wrong with the Wii themselves its just when people own the actual consoles the seem to be much rougher than everyone else was when they were demoing the console, to be honest i wouldn't bother sending it back if i had one i would just put together a better strap, or of course just be more careful, there is already a few guides i think on fixing the straps.

Yea seriously I have a Xbox 360 and love it, and I'm waiting for Nintendo Wii to finish its useless and stupid recall (because I couldn't get my hands on one before it got sold out, and the recall made matters worse). The recall is pointless, peoples stupidity shouldn't make Nintendo recall, and also have a lawsuit against a stupid person that got "hurt" playing Wii. Either be more carefull, or don't play. For instance, if your in a room with a drop down fan, you don't go around bouncing off the walls, and throwing your arm around, like a monkey. Its common sence.

The recall is partially because of me. I hit my friends arm while playing Wii tennis and the wiimote flew of the wrist strap and when he called in Nintendo said that it was the first call they had gotten about that. Kinda cool. He was pissed.

I doubt you where the first claim. But i don't think any class action suit will go though against Nintendo. Its already doing everything necessary to correct its wrong. Its already a dead issue.
@Steve Soleimani the recall is only for the strap, there is nothing wrong with the hardware, unless of course you throw it though a TV like some say. Then you might have a problem.
Happy holiday's everyone :whistling:
James

Edit: I don't understand why the strap is what is braking rather then the little piece of twine that holds the strap to the remote. I could see that breaking a way before the actual strap.

I tihnk there actually talking about that little thin strap. That's what broke with me. OO and after the Wiimote flew out of my hand and it hit the wall falling to the ground, and the batteries flying out. It still worked when I put the battery in. I can't see the actual strap breaking either.

Thats the thing, they are making the strap thicker not the thin twine.
Does it make any sense to anyone?
