So someone hacked my e-mail through yahoo and changed my password and registration info. After some run around I was able to get logged in with the help of yahoo's services. Going back through my personal info I found that my name was changed as well as the address... to a Nigerian address and zip. Go figure. Well I'm able to sign into my e-mail and that's fine and dandy.. problem is now when I do sign in the IE window is no longer the active window. I can't click on it, type on it, or even close it without going through task manager. Also a small blue line appears in the middle of the screen. I'm assuming this might be some kind of a program overriding? It only does this when I log into my yahoo mail. Is my mail account salvageable? Has anyone heard of this before. I'm afraid I will come home later and all my passwords will be changed again. What a nightmare.

Strange indeed. Let's rule out some kind of infection first.

Please go to the malware forum and follow the instructions at the top....Especially the CLICK HERE.

That will give you several steps that will help you clean up 70 percent of all problems by yourself. If at the end of the process you are still having difficulty (and you may not be) then post a hijackthis log in THE MALWARE FORUM forum.
(Posting HiJack This logs in any other forum other than the malware forum is forbidden. If you post an HJT log in any other forum, it will be removed and it will take you longer to get help, so please make sure you only post HJT logs in the malware forum)

If you are still having problems after getting a clean bill of health from the malware expert, please return to this thread.
