Problems With Norton 2006 LiveUpdate

I've had Norton AntiVirus 2006 for nearly a year and just a few days ago, my LiveUpdate stopped updating. The program asked if I wanted to turn LiveUpdate on, but even that wouldn't fix it. Running a tool on Symantec's site would not work either. I even tried uninstalling/re-installing Norton but still same issue.

Anyone else have this kind of experience with Norton 2006?
