For some reason my My Pictures folder is screwed. When I click on anything this weird error box pops up. Also if I have an image selected, instead of a preview on the left I get a black box with the red X on it. I have attached a picture to show you what I mean.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to fix this, please let me know.

Bump.
This forum gets a lot of threads :whistling:

Edit: Oh by the way, I click Yes on that error box and it will keep poping up. If I click No it does the same thing.

I have 6.0.28
The newest is version 7 I believe. I dont think it will run on the PC though because it says it needs Windows XP

I tried to install the version 6 that is on the Microsoft site and it says that I already have the newest version. I guess 6 is the highest that was built to run on Windows 2000.

Anyone have any ideas on why its doing this?

Very sorry about not responding, I am not meaning to waste your time. I went on vacation for Christmas and I had no way of checking what version of Java was on my computer.
It seems as though the version is J2SE Runtime Environment 5.0 Update 10. I think thats the newest one although I could be mistaken.

There are basically three things involved here, the imgview.htt which is really a type of webpage, but used by Explorer and not by Internet Explorer, and as ultimate slacker mentioned, your Java, as the page is written with Java and Javascript, but the third thing is the "object" mentioned, the application or .dll that is used to open the preview picture on the left side of the page. If any of these are corrupted it may cause the problem.

Well im pretty sure the Java is fine. It's the newest version and I have never even messed with it.
imgview.htt - Im really not even sure what that is so if its corrupted then I would need some help to fix it.
And that third item, the "object", im not really sure which file that is either so I would need help fixing it if thats the case.

Click Start, click Run, and then type the following command:

rundll32 mydocs.dll,PerUserInit

Click OK.

Click start, my computer, double click local disc C, click shared documents, open shared pictures, is that similar

If you save an image to shared pictures does it do anything different
