Delete your current hijack this program, it is in a temporary location. Then do the below

* Click here to download HJTsetup.exe

• Save HJTsetup.exe to your desktop.
• Doubleclick on the HJTsetup.exe icon on your desktop.
• By default it will install to C:\Program Files\Hijack This.
• Continue to click Next in the setup dialogue boxes until you get to the Select Addition Tasks dialogue.
• Put a check by Create a desktop icon then click Next again.
• Continue to follow the rest of the prompts from there.
• At the final dialogue box click Finish and it will launch Hijack This.
• Click on the Do a system scan and save a logfile button. It will scan and the log should open in notepad.
• Click on "Edit > Select All" then click on "Edit > Copy" to copy the entire contents of the log.
• Come back here to this thread and Paste the log in your next reply.
• DO NOT have Hijack This fix anything yet. Most of what it finds will be harmless or even required.

Please download the Killbox by Option^Explicit.

Note: In the event you already have Killbox, this is a new version that I need you to download.

• Save it to your desktop.
• Please double-click Killbox.exe to run it.
• Select:
  • Delete on Reboot
  • then Click on the All Files button.
• Please copy the file paths below to the clipboard by highlighting ALL of them and pressing CTRL + C (or, after highlighting, right-click and choose copy):

Thank you so much for your help!!!! I was able to download killBox and combofix and have included the combofix log below. My HijackThis, however, will not run. It is on my desktop, but when it goes through the install process it just disappears like my browser does sometimes I do have it saved on a jumpdrive and the zip of the jumpdrive does work, should I run it from here?

Hi

You can run it from the jump drive but I would rather you run it from, say the desktop. Can you just copy and paste the one from the jumpdrive and put it on your desktop. Post a log in your next post either way

• Return to Killbox, go to the File menu, and choose Paste from Clipboard.
  
• Click the red-and-white Delete File button. Click Yes at the Delete on Reboot prompt. Click OK at any PendingFileRenameOperations prompt (and please let me know if you receive this message!).

If your computer does not restart automatically, please restart it manually.

If you receive a message such as: "Component 'MsComCtl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid." when trying to run Killbox, click here to download and run missingfilesetup.exe. Then try Killbox again.

Clean out your Temporary Internet files. Proceed as follows:

• Quit Internet Explorer and quit any instances of Windows Explorer.
• Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Internet Options.
• On the General tab, click Delete Files under Temporary Internet Files.
• In the Delete Files dialog box, tick the Delete all offline content check box , and then click OK.
• On the General tab, click Delete Cookies under Temporary Internet Files, and then click OK.
• Click on the Programs tab then click the Reset Web Settings button. Click Apply then OK.
• Click OK.

Please go HERE to run Panda's ActiveScan

• Once you are on the Panda site click the Scan your PC button
• A new window will open...click the Check Now button
• Enter your Country
• Enter your State/Province
• Enter your e-mail address and click send
• Select either Home User or Company
• Click the big Scan Now button
• If it wants to install an ActiveX component allow it
• It will start downloading the files it requires for the scan (Note: It may take a couple of minutes)
• When download is complete, click on My Computer to start the scan
• When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to a convenient location. Post the contents of the ActiveScan report along with a new hijackthis log.

Thanks! It seems to be working much better. I am not able to click on the Scan PC now button on the panda scan page. When I open it with IE it shows the hand like I can click on it, but it will not do anything or allow me to click. When I open it in Firefox, however, it does let me click on it, but it says that the browser is not supported. I pasted a new hijackThis log. Thank you!!!!!!!

Panda can be fussy, lets try this one

Please do an online scan with Kaspersky WebScanner. If you have any quarantined items in your antivirus, please delete those archives before the scan.

Click on Kaspersky Online Scanner

You will be promted to install an ActiveX component from Kaspersky, Click Yes.

• The program will launch and then begin downloading the latest definition files:
• Once the files have been downloaded click on NEXT
  
• Now click on Scan Settings
• In the scan settings make sure that the following are selected:
  • Scan using the following Anti-Virus database:
  Extended (if available otherwise Standard)
  
  • Scan Options:
  Scan Archives
  Scan Mail Bases
• Click OK
• Now under select a target to scan:Select My Computer
• This program will start and scan your system.
• The scan will take a while so be patient and let it run.
• Once the scan is complete it will display if your system has been infected.
  • Now click on the Save as Text button:
• Save the file to your desktop.
• Copy and paste that information in your next post along with a new HijackThis log.

The Kaspersky scanner does not work either. It pulls the page up but nothing happens when I click on the buttons. Like the Panda one it does work in firefox, but the scan itself needs to run in IE.. any idea as to why it will not let me scan??
