HI,

I have just ran TrojanHunter and it has provided me with quite a few warnings about double extensions.

I have ran trojan hunter many times before with no such warnings. Do I need to worry about these double extensions and if so, what do you recommend?

Below is the log from Trojan Hunter:

Hello UKCamaroSS and welcome to the G2G HijackThis forum. You do no need to worry about those files. They are part of the MS Visual Basic and .Net framework. It is just MS's naming convention.

When the option to look for double file extensions is turned on in Trojan Hunter it will report any file that has more than 1 period in the name as having a double extension. This is correct, but MS uses many files with this naming convention so all of the files with that naming convention will be in the Trojan Hunter report.

You can just ignore these files, or, if you get tired of seeing them in the report after every scan turn the option off in Trojan Hunter.

Cheers.
