don't know why you'd torrent winrar as it's free on their site...

but it should be located in add/remove programs as far as to uninstall it

tried to remove the software
did
searched for winRAR and thewre are still about 6 programs left
tried to delete them but
error message
cannot delete RarExt.dll.otmp:Access is denied
make sure the disk is not full or write protected and that the file is not currently in use

what do you mean there are 6 programs left? do you mean 6 files that might be related?
how do you know they are for winrar? have you tried deleting them in safe mode?

or better yet...have you gotten the REAL winrar (the free one from http://www.winrar.com/ ) and tried to install it? when you install the new one it SHOULD overwrite those other files
