Hi, I have a friend that has two new hp computers one is a laptop
and the other a desktop, when he boots up and gets to desktop
there is a pop up that ask, would you like to install norton I can't
remember if its antivirus or firewall? does any one know how I
can stop this pop up for him?
When you tell in no it will come back next boot.
Neither computer is used on the internet and even if they was
he sure don't want norton! He has xp home on computers.
Now what ever is starting this popup must be under some odd
name other then norton. I have looked and can't find any way to
stop it for him.
Thanks for any help on this. Dwight

Install it.
Then uninstall it through Add/Remove programs.

Thanks Neil Jones, I have not tried that yet, did not want it to install it.
I give it a try the next time I'm over there and let you know how it went.
Thank You Dwight :whistling:
