bios is locked by passsword that I don't have

Help!!! does anyone know how to bypass a password on BIOS the person that set the password is no longer with us. My cd rom drive is not showing and it is workinking I would appreciate any help I am soooooo desperate!!!!

If it's a desktop computer, disconnect the power, remove the battery from the motherboard (look like a nickle sized watch battery). Wait at least five minutes, reconnect the power, and reboot.

if that doesn't work some bios can only be cleared by sorting the jumper pins
