I am totally lost. We are unable to sign onto Internet Explorer but (I know this holds no relevance) my son can still use his instant messanger. So my question is how do I get onto IE to run all of these anti-virus programs? Or do you know whether there is a bigger problem that is going on with the computer. Help needed.

So what you are suggesting with the installation of IE again. Is that it got deleted or uninstalled somehow, even though the icon is still there?
