My computer keeps connecting to the internet on it's own. As soon as I plug in the cable, it automatically connects. What's that about?

I've scanned the system for malware using SpyBot but nothing came up.

Welcome to Geeks to GO, Sion-Cain.

Do you have a firewall like Zone Alarm in your computer? If you don't it is a good idea to get and install it. When you restart the computer Zone Alarm will ask you for permission of each program that wants to try connection to the interent. This will let you see which one is accessing the internet right away. You can disable each program's access to the internet, one at a time, to find out which one is the culprit. Most of the times its either Adobe acrobat reader or Microsoft update causing the problem.

I'll do that but I have Windows's Automatic Update disabled and I don't have Acrobat installed so that's not it.
