Some websites or email pages display a square box with a red x in them which prevents me from viewing the item intended for me. How do I eliminate that problem ? I have gone to Internet Tools and Security and tried to make changes there but so far I have not eliminated the problem.

did you try right clicking the red X and click on show picture

It could also be your internet security settings causing you not to see images
check them especially the settings for SPAM

theres the chance you maybe needing an add on you can download macromedia flash player here

and if thats the problem then you may need to update java

be sure to uninstall old java from add/remove programs
