Hello
I am unable to access some websites...........only a few on my favourites so far but the pages won't come up....Other sites do and are quick...any ideas???

I think some more information is needed here.
What exactly happens when you cant view a site, when did this start, error msgs, ect.

just comes up website unavailable....... most others work

just started... but have had to rebot either cable modem or the router or both alot the last week

what website? and are you sure its not just the site thats having the problem?

it was etrade...........the site works on opera so I think its a prob with explorer

sounds about right...
did you just update windows...
try system restore...go back a week before you started having problems

did you by any chance restrict this site through explorer or your firewall?
  • click tools
  • click internet options
  • choose security
  • click on restricted sites
  • click on the button that says sites
is there anything there, and you might see if its restricted via firewall
but I believe that the firewall would restrict it from all browsers

mmmmmmmmm no nothing there...already tried the restore yesterday....but it just started working now...mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmwierd
