Running super smooth. I appreciate it. It's good to see that there's a light at the end of the tunnel and it's an approaching train.
Thanks. It may be tomorrow before I run the tests. I've spent about 12 hours at the computer the last few days and my wife needs some attention.

Reboot into Safe Mode: Click here if you don't know how to do this.

Search your registery for the following item delete if found
CWS.008k

Use killbox to delete the following.
C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\crft32.dll
C:\WINDOWS\winie32.dll

Reboot into normal mode.

Please run the following free, online virus scans.

Sorry for the delay in replying have been ill. :tazz:

Lets see if this will find any hidden Trojan’s http://www.ewido.net/en/download/

This setup contains the free as well as the plus-version of the ewido security suite. After the installation, a free 14-day test version containing all the extensions of the plus-version will be activated. At the end of the test phase, the extensions of the plus version are deactivated and the freeware version can be used unlimited times. The purchased license code of the plus version can be entered at any time.

Just keep the free one after the trial has finnished.

Delete the Files put in quarantine: 19 by Ewido

Turn of system restore
Disabling or enabling Windows XP System Restore

Defrag your hard drive. Turn system restore back on and create a new restore point.

Do a Panda scan and post the log.

Do a Ewido scan and post the log.

Scan with HJT and post the log.

Okay. No problem with running the scans, but either I missed the prompt for the ActiveScan log to be saved or it didn't come up. It found no viruses, though.

Congratulations! Your system is CLEAN :tazz:

Download the Microsoft Antispyware

Download the CCleaner unzip the file to install.
Open CCleaner.
Place a check by everything in the Applications tab.
Place a check by Internet Explorer, Windows explorer, and System in the Windows tab.
Run the ccleaner

Clean out all temp files in Mozilla, Internet Explorer.
Internet Explorer: Tools/ Internet Options/ General/ Temporary internet files/ Delete Files (NOTE, that this may take very long!). You can also set the memory limit to about 80 MB at the Settings.

Mozilla: Edit/ Options/ Extended/ Cache/ Clear Cache

Turn of system restore
Disabling or enabling Windows XP System Restore

Defrag your hard drive. Turn system restore back on and create a new restore point.

Download, run, check for updates, download updates, select all, protect against checked. All done. Check for updates every couple of weeks. If you have any errors running the program like a missing file see the link at the bottom of the javacool page.

These next two steps are optional, but will provide the greatest protection.
1. Use ANY browser besides Internet Explorer, almost every exploit is crafted to take advantage of an IE weakness. We usually recommend FireFox user posted image.
2. Install Sun's Java. It's much more secure than Microsoft's Java Virtual Machine .

After doing all these, your system will be thoroughly protected from future threats. ;)
