Last night a power outage happened thus turning my comp off... when I turned my comp back on everything else worked cept the keyboard, I hooked the keyboard up to my laptop and it worked fine but just won't work on my desktop...
I unpluged the keyboard and rebooted to see if an undetected keyboard error would come up, no error came up.

I am running on win xp and within the years ive had the comp this has never happened before with any peripherals.

thanks in advance

If its a PS/2 keyboard (purple round connector), your port has probably been blown.
If its a USB keyboard, try different ports.
