Desktop Frozen

Hi, My desktop has frozen on a image from a movie I was trying to download from the web. When I go into Properties, Desktop and then try to change the background, it doesn't matter what I select, it will not change. Is there someone out there that may be able to help me please? I have run my Norton and Ad-Aware with no viruses apparent. Thank you, Marianne
