We recently got an extra wireless router(BT voyager) for communications and since then the laptop's connection to the internet has almost stopped. Even before, with the only the older wireless router (which is still used for internet connections), the connection only worked half the time.

We have two desktops and two laptops attached to the internet router. One laptop is connecting perfectly, while the other is as described. This is similar for the desktops, one seems perfect but the other only manages to connect about 3/5 of the time. I cant think what the problem may be. Also, restarting the computer seems to work most of the time but this may just be coincidence.

The Laptop has a firewire net adapter and a wireless Network Connection in the Network connection folder. Both are enabled, could this be part of the problem?

Thanks,
King Leo

Check the setup on your computer and make sure the setting that searches for wireless network connection is turned off. You should only have your wireless network configured. If you are seeing several networks, your router may be attempting to access them. This can be a problem.
