Hello,

I seem to be getting a flickering / disappearing mouse pointer appearing in most games recently. The pointer is OK during normal desktop activity. I have recently added 2gb of memory. I have the latest graphic drivers, and I am using a wireless mouse and keyboard.

I would appreciate any advice for this irritating problem.

Hello DOM1

When did this problem start? Have you tried plugging in another mouse? Try changing the screen resolution when you play games. Does this happen with all games?

I recently installed 2gb of memory, and in doing so unplugged all cables, including mouse. I't seems to happen in graphically intensive games., such as FEAR, Company Of Heroes etc. The pointer is unaffected in normal windows applications. I'm guessing it could be a video driver issue.

Hello there,

What kind of graphics card did you have before? Did this happen before?

I've had the same graphics card (ATI X800XT), and it hasn't happened before.

No, because I have played these games before without this problem. The games play OK it's just this pointer problem, which seems to have appeared.

Try plugging in another mouse and see if that solves your problem. Also, change the screen resolution when playing and see if that helps in any way.
