For no apparent reason, I have been receiving a BSOD saying

A problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer.

PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA

It also listed basic troubleshooting steps.

Technical Information:

This error does not seem to be associated with a particular task. It can happen while in Thunderbird, Firefox, Media Player, etc. It even happens while the computer is idle.
It is not logged in the Event Viewer.
The error can appear as often as twice a day or twice a month.
How can this problem be fixed?!?!?!?!?
