just noticed our desktop athlon 2800+ is running 2083mhz, is there a way to get it to run what it is said to? this is a stock compaq presario sr111scl

Hi AnthonyJ!

That is the speed the 2800+ should be running at. AMD processors run slower (and therefore cooler) but produce the same results as if you were using a Pentium 4 processor clocking at 2.8GHz.
