Hey, I was recently advised on another thread to give my system a clean to improve performance. I took the CPU and fan out, noticed there was lots of dust (looked like metal dust to me) which I cleaned off. I reassembled everything, only to find that my computer monitor won't turn on at all. Everything else is fine, the fan is going, everything lights up as it should, CD drvies eject. Not sure what to do next, could I have broke my CPU? Thanks

I have a similar issue. I just upgraded from a Pentium 4 HT to a Pentium D Dual Core. I turn it on. There are no beeps. The power lights do not turn on. The fans work. The CD ejects and scans. Nothing gets to the monitors. Any ideas?

Hi Thomascoote,

Glad to hear you have it finally all sorted.

Lord of the view, could you start your post in a separate thread as a new topic, makes it easier to help you.

cheers...xxx1
