Kaspersky Internet Sercurity final or NOD32 7.0 and Zonealarm pro

I've heard lots of good things about KS antivirus and it and NOD32 are almsot the same

but, now KS's firewall i've never messed with and well my trial for NOD32 7.0 is almsost up and my zonealarm subscrition is due in 2 months...

so waht would you recommend in this battle KSIS6 or NOD32 7.0 with zonealarm pro?

Well I am running KIS v6 and if you like interaction then this is your friend. Its got great heuristics (tested myself) and has a pretty good firewall. It notifies when it really needs to be updated and it usually has updates everyday.

The firewall has many modes. Allow All, Low-Security, Training, High, and Block all.

I am using the training setting.

Here is a list comparing the Anti-Viruses.

These are some what out of date, but do provide vital information.

I have ZoneAlarm Suite and Nod32. While Nod32 is silent and small, ZoneAlarm hogs 20% of my CPU at all times. Weirdest thing. I didn't expect that.

Ive got about 17k on its avp.exe process. When it is first started it uses about 30k, and then limits down.

ok because nod32 has 2 files, a system nod32krn using about 23,000k
and then running under my name nod32kui.exe uses 2,500k

zonalarm pro also has both a system vsmon.exe using about 30,000k
and then running under my name zlclient.exe uses 2,500k

you AVP exe sound like its only the antivirus part which isn't bad did expect it to be lower then nod32 7.0

i could be wrong are you useing like windows defender to see what each app is? or another method?

beacuse there should be 2 files as stated above

I have two avp.exe processes running. One system and one me. Mine is running at 4,380k. And the System one is running at 8,808k.

Sorry. I combined them before :whistling:
