Hey Everyone,

I am having a problem with my father's computer. He has a HP Windows Media Edition 2005.
When he starts the computer it stays at the blue screen one you just start the computer, saying
that it is a HP. I must stay there for like 5 or 6 minutes. Then it continues normally until it gets to
the part inbetween the loading Windows XP screen and the User Account Logon screen, it stays there for about 2 minutes and then it finally loads. When the loads the taskbar and everything loads very quickly.
Shutting down the computer is fine, takes like 10 - 15 seconds like normal.

Anyone have any idea why it would be doing this?

Thanks,

Richard

OK here are some trips that u can follow

First of all remove all the unnecessary softwares from start up

To do this go to RUN and type msconfig

Then a new window will open . Then go to startup tab and remove the applications

Keep Defragmenting ur hard disk . As Windows Defragmenter is slow use this freeware

Auslogics Disk Defrag

or

Also clean all the junk in ur pc with cc cleaner
