how many running processes do you have and whats your cp usage with all others apps closed, and just the browser open ?.

A HijackThis log would be useful if you can get one. Also an uninstall list from there as well. Just to check, because Malware might be the problem.

if you are still having issues and suspect that it is malware related I would start with our malware forum and see if they can make sure you don't have any malware installed.

To me it does look like you have a couple of things in there to be removed. I will, as xxx1 did, have to direct you to the Malware forum. Im sorry for not specifiying that earlier :whistling:

I would go ahead and remove your current version of java -
C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.5.0_09\bin\ssv.dll
and install the new version though.

Hi,

I posted my hijack this log in the malware forum and i was told everything looks ok. The stalling/freezing in I.E continues, be it with google or any other page where I put in, for example, log in username etc with any forum board.

I have scanned with other virus scanners such AVG and nothing came up apart from a few tracking cookies.

If anyone has any ideas of what I could try next, they would be much appreciated,
