I am running windows xp pro on a compaq evo n610c
p4 1.8
768ram

i downloaded pc optimize and right after the temperature of my harddrive rose to 61 degrees celcuis.. I think the fan is being overworked also because it is making more noise than it usually makes. I have a program which monitors my harddrive and it is always popping up something saying critical temperature. I think the program pc optimize tweaked my registry and caused this to happen. I am very afraid that something bad is going to happen and i am desperately seeking help.

This has also happened to my desktop also. Any help will be greatly appreciated

Thank you
