hello,

i think a while back when there was a security threat for windows picture and fax viewer i ran a "run" command found on a website to remove it from my pc. problem is, now i would like it back if possible.

can anyone tell me how to reinstall this program? i grabbed raw image viewer from microsoft but it doesnt display thumbnails... just the icon for the image type.

Thanks!

Here's a registry addition found at http://www.kellys-ko...m/xp_tweaks.htm. Scroll down to item 80. I can not vouch for this solution, although I generally trust things I find on this site.

This may be the same registry fix, but here's another one I found: http://www.theelderg..._fax_viewer.htm.

Please post the results, good or bad.

Here's another thing to try, in case that turns out not to have worked. I found it at http://ask-leo.com/w...fax_viewer.html.

click on Start, Run... and type in:

regsvr32 /i shimgvw.dll (Note the spaces between the three segments of the command)

and press OK. Then press OK again on the resulting success message.
