First problem I found while going through your forum here and trying some things that I thought could help me. I forget what I was actually doing a the time but, I went to my start menu and clicked on Run.
I then typed MSCONFIG in the box and when I pressed ok it said that "Windows could not find MSCONFIG"
Not sure what to do about that.
Second problem is in my Add/Remove programs. I once had alcohol 120% but deleted it a while back and it is still in my add/remove prgrams list. when I click to remove it it says, Are you sure you want to remove from your computer? Note the space.
when I click yes it tells me error 25005. some driver has invalid name or conflicts with other file or service in system. Please choose other driver names or make sure you have rebooted after removla of sofware using same names. (Observation(notice the spelling of software)
Then another window pops up and says Fatal error during installation.
Not sure what to do about that either.
Third problem which may not be a problem is in my task manager. I have a RUNDLL that is being run as an app. Whats this about?
I have just finished running F Secure (Charter security suite) and found no viruses, malware, or suspicious items at all.I last defragged about 2 weeks ago along with running CCleaner and ATF cleaner.
The CCleaner cleaned about 1.5 gigs of crap off my PC.
I also had a problem with a look2me malware that you guys helped me get rid of at about the same time.
