onboard audio fried, as far as i an figure. so i have a sound blaster live card in. i have none powered speakers plugged in, at the computers full volume its still to quite. help

Go into the bios and disable on board audio, then give it a try. Make sure you have the speakers connected to the sound card, not on board audio.

if i disable onboard sound in bios, i cant get the windows to boot. although if i plug powered speakers into the card i can hear fine
