HELLO, :whistling:
MY COMPUTER HAS XP PROFESSIONAL ON TWO PARTITIONS. I USE ONE AND ACCESS THE FILES FROM ANOTHER. I HAVEN'T BEEN ON THE INTERNET IN ABOUT 1 1/2 YEARS. I HAVEN'T INSTALL ANY NEW HARDWARE OR SOFTWARE IN ABOUT A YEAR. I ALSO LIVE IN AN AREA THAT HAS HAD SEVERAL BLACKOUTS IN THE PASS MONTHS, I ALWAYS TRY TO TURN OFF MY COMPUTER, BEFORE THE STORMS SO AS NOT TO HAVE A POWER SURGE. RECENTLY MY COMPUTER STARTED RESTARTING ON ITS OWN, I GOT A STOP ERROR CODE: UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME 0X000000ED,(0X81EF2030, 0XC0000102, 0X00000000) I DID GOOLGLE SEARCH WAS ADVISED TO DO CHKDSK /P /R. I PUT XP CD IN FOR RECOVERY CONSOLE, (I HAVE DONE THIS BEFORE ON OTHER COMPUTERS, AND NORMALLY WHATEVER OP SYSETM(S) IS ON THE COMPUTER A LIST COMES UP AND YOU CAN PICK THE ONE YOU WANT TO REPAIR) THERE WAS NO CHOICE AS TO WHAT PARTITION I WANTED TO REPAIR (I HAVE TWO ON MY COMPUTER), THERE WAS ONLY C: (COMMAND PROMPT) I DID CHKDSK P/R/
MESSAGE READ: VOLUME CONTAINS ONE OR MORE UNRECOVERABLE PROBLEMS.
I RESTARED COMPUTER TO NO AVAIL, GOT THE SAME BLUE SCREEN, I REPEATED THE CHKDSK AGAIN WITH THE SAME RESPONSE. IN THE RECOVERY CONSOLE I DID A FIXBOOT - MESSAGE READ: BOOT SECTOR IS CORRUPT, WRITING NEW BOOT SECTOR, PARTITION IS USING FAT FILE SYSTEM. NEW BOOT SECTOR WAS SUCCESSFULLY WRITTEN. THEN I DID CHKDSK /P /R THIS TIME MESSAGE READ: VOLUME SERIAL NUMBER IS 0000-0000
VOLUME APPEARS TO CONTAIN ONE OR MORE UNRECOVERABLE PROBLEMS
10344 KILOBYTES TOTAL DISK SPACE
7312 KILOBYTES ARE AVAILABLE
4096 BYTES IN EACH ALLOCATION UNIT
2586 TOTAL ALLOCATION UNITS ON DISK
1828 ALLOCATION UNITS AVAILABLE ON DISK
RESTART - PRESS ANY KEY TO BOOT FROM CD I DID THIS, NOW IT RESTARTS AND I GET ERROR MESSAGE: SEARCHING FOR BOOT RECORD FROM SCSI - NOT FOUND BOOT FAILURE
WHEN I RESTART THE COMPUTER ( THE NORMAL WAY)(NOT FROM CD) I GET ERROR MESSAGE:
NTLDR IS MISSING PRESS ANY KEY TO RESTART
SO I CAN'T GET PASS THESE TWO MESSAGES, EITHER WAY I TRY, WITH CD OR NOT. I AM UNABLE TO GET TO THE RECOVERY CONSOLE. IS THIS PROBLEM REPAIRABLE? IF SO WHAT CAN I DO? DO I NEED TO INSTALL A NEW HARD DRIVE & XP? HOW DO I GET MY FILES OFF THE OLD HARD DRIVE?
I ALSO TRIED MY HARD DRIVE IN ANOTHER COMPUTER AND GOT THE SAME MESSAGE: NTLDR IS MISSING
WHAT IS NTLDR? IS THIS FIXABLE? ANY HELP WOULD BE APPRECIATED. IF ANYONE OUT THERE CAN ADVISE ME AS TO WHAT TO DO NEXT CONTACT ME AT: JAZZIZAFOX@HOTMAIL.COM
I'M USING A FRIENDS PC, WILL BE CHECKING BACK ASAP.

HAPPY NEW YEAR AND THANKS IN ADVANCE
