Hi all

I have 3 email accounts with Ireland Online (iol). When I retrieve my email through Outlook Express, my connection disconnects. Sometimes it doesnt finish retrieving all the email and when I connect again, I get them ALL a second time. Ihave also connected with a different provider, eircom, and its the same story.

Also have noticed in the past few weeks, quite a few Mozilla Firefox errors and problems encountered and have to restart. Dont know if these things are connected.

I have a new Hp Laptop, with 2 gig ram, so I dont know whats happening.

Havent been able to get past the queue for help with IOL yet.....!

thanks

There's an option in Outlook Express to "Hang up after sending and receiving" (though this only applies to dial-up connections), and I seem to remember it's enabled by default. If you're on dial-up it may be worth having a look at that setting.

1. Open OE
2. Click on Tools>Options.
3. Click on the 'Connection' tab.
4. Untick the 'hang up ......' option to disable it.
