The screen seems pretty bad (the black spot especially) but I'm trying to retain hope.
Is there anyway this might be fixed or go away? Is it possible that apple will replace it if its under warranty? If they don't cover that is there anything else I could say to get it replaced? Any suggestions or ideas are more than welcome. Thanks so much.

First time using the board, sorry about that.
The topic line said the screen was cracked and had a large black spot.

Welcome to Geeks to Go.

If you have a visible crack in the screen it will have to be replaced. This place seems to have the best prices.

Or you could take your chances buying a identical model apple laptop that may not be working.
