And now there is some talk about something called a "Live Earth" concert thats coming up in the summer. Its probably some pro-environment concert from what I can gather (just by the name) and supposedly they are thinking of asking the Floyd.

The Live Earth concert is being promoted by a group of environmental activists, led by Al Gore.

Environmental activists led by former Vice President Al Gore announced plans Thursday for a 24-hour pop concert across seven continents in July to mobilize action to stop global warming.

The "Live Earth" concerts on July 7 and will bring together more than 100 of the world's top musical acts, organizers said. Names of the performers were not immediately released.

Organizers of the concerts and the new campaign Save Our Selves (SOS) hope to reach a global audience of some 2 billion people through concert attendance, radio, television and Internet broadcasts.

"Breathe Me" - Sia YouTube Video
"Outside" - Stained ft. Fred Durst (live version) YouTube Video
"Tiny Dancer" - Elton John YouTube Video

The Janis Joplin tribute done by Melissa Etheridge and Joss Stone takes my breath away every time. Gives me shivers and really grabs me with the emotion of it all, especially the power scream Etheridge does near the end.(4:48/6:00) Watch this video if you watch nothing else, ever. Amazingly Powerful YouTube Video

lol
Radiohead is what British Indie-rock needs right now :help: Paranoid Android is their signature, I can't imagine many people disliking that song. I have a book of their piano arrangements, they're pretty cool but not very easy...

Most of the songs that take my breath away are live performances. Seeing amazing songwriting and playing skill, all set to great visual effect (and then there's the case of seeing your heroes right in front of you), THAT makes me go wow! Add a bit of hot, relaxing summer and great memories are born :whistling: In the last couple of years, a few highlights come to mind - The Who, Roger Waters and REM...

I have to go now, but I will be back when my university reopens on Sunday with a few youtube links - who knows, maybe there will be some stuff that you lot find interesting
